THIS NEW NETFLIX SERIES WAS ENTIRELY FILMED AND PRODUCED IN B.C.
While those catching Netflix's new series "The Bletchley Circle: San Francisco" will notice the storyline is set in the Golden Gate City, the scenes might be a little more familiar. In fact, the entire production is entirely B.C.-owned and controlled and, with the exception of two British actors, all the cast, writers, directors and on-set crew members are from B.C. https://bc.ctvnews.ca/this-new-netflix-series-was-entirely-filmed-and-produced-in-b-c-1.4585064

B.C. DIRECTORS’ CAMPAIGN TARGETS U.S. PRODUCTION GIGS
American producers of the TV movie Kim Possible had not yet landed on a filming location when they hired Vancouverite Zach Lipovsky as the feature’s director.“And when they hired me, that’s what made them shift their decision to Vancouver because I had shot everything else here,” recalled the 35-year-old actor-turned-director. “So that’s a $17 million spend that hired people for six months. All that money went straight into the province because they hired me.” https://biv.com/article/2019/09/bc-directors-campaign-targets-us-production-gigs

WHEN TO BUTT HEADS AND HOW TO LIVE WITH IT
The biggest thing to remember is far more important than being able to live with the displeasure of others, is being able to live with yourself. No one else is in it for the long haul with you. So before you risk an artistic relationship over artistic differences, decide whether you can better stand to lose the goodwill of the other party, or your respect for your own ability to stand up for yourself in that particular matter. https://www.castittalent.com/blog/2019/09/when-to-butt-heads-and-how-to-live-with-it/

STANDARD AMERICAN ACCENT WITH LIZ MCLAUGHLIN
Drop-ins available Sunday's until October 27
The majority of shows we audition for in Vancouver are set in America. It is assumed by directors, producers, and network executives that we sound American. The twang of an unauthentic American accent can limit our chances of booking a role no matter how good our audition was. Having a bullet proof Standard American Accent is what Liz McLaughlin will teach you. More importantly, the difference between a Standard American Accent and the American Accent they are looking for.
When: Sunday’s 10am-1pm | Where: 2333 Ontario St https://actorvan.com/product/standard-american-accent-with-liz-mclaughlin/
