impact.”

DON’T TWEET US, WE’LL TWEET YOU: NAVIGATING SOCIAL MEDIA AS AN
ACTOR
Just a few weeks after Roseanne’s destructive Tweet, it’s time for you to take stock of your social media habits and make sure you’re using technology for good.
The biggest mistake actor/content creators make is creating content without properly setting up their YouTube channel. It may not seem like a huge deal, but think about what would happen if you opened a new store without painting the walls or hanging a great-looking sign
outside.

UPCOMING EVENTS
DANCING ON THE EDGE FESTIVAL
July 5-14
This year's festival showcases over thirty performances involving more than thirty innovative choreographers. Artists from across Canada, from Belgium and South Korea will dance on stages and in the streets during the ten-day festival,
in full length and mixed bill programs, as well as site-specific works.
This ‘festival for a curious mind’ presents a continent-spanning range of artists, from the inheritors of ancient oral storytelling traditions to genre-defying musicians, award-winning novelists, and provocative visual, performance and culinary artists.
Stories illustrate our universally shared
experiences. The Cold Reading Series (CRS) is committed to supporting and developing the talents of Vancouver’s story tellers – writers, actors, and musicians alike – by providing a forum where they can present their craft to a live audience and get instant feedback.
This year’s productions have a wide
variation of diverse productions in various venues and demonstrate the creativity, imagination, and skill of the extremely talented group of artists who bring their vision to life on the stage. The dynamic works add to the cultural richness and vibrancy not only to Vancouver and its residents, but also to the province and beyond.
