North centred in and around Vancouver continues to boom, according to the latest statistics released by Creative BC. The 2017-18 fiscal year saw over 450 productions generate $3.4 billion for the BC economy – up from $2.6 billion in 2016-17 – supporting the employment of over 60,000 workers.

PSF is an annual celebration of Japanese Canadian arts and culture. In addition to PSF, we engage in co-presentations with arts organizations and produce an annual season of cultural and artistic programming.
More than 70 films from 15 countries are featured at this 30th anniversary Festival, along with 11 visiting filmmakers, 27 local directors and numerous local performing artists, in addition to parties and talkback sessions.
The festival
features a young company of 38 emerging theatre artists who will direct, design, stage manage, tech, produce, and perform in three hot contemporary Canadian plays: Selfie by Christine Quintana, Tiny Replicas by Dave Deveau, and Theory by Norman Yeung.
