An Edmonton theatre company is cutting ties with its former artistic director after the acclaimed actor and playwright said on Facebook he has contributed
to "rape culture." Rapid Fire Theatre, a local improv troupe, issued a public statement on Wednesday announcing that Chris Craddock will no longer be affiliated with the company.
RaeAnne Boon left Lethbridge in pursuit of her dreams and it appears she might be on the right track. After high school, she spent a year studying drama at the University of Lethbridge, but quickly made the jump to Vancouver, where she
received a film arts certificate from Langara College. Just two weeks after graduation, she was notified that her final project earned her a nomination for the 2017 Joey Awards.

Unfortunately, sexual abuse is a real issue, primarily when people in power use their authority to prey on the young or less powerful. Predators can lurk in all settings so it’s wise for parents to help their
children—male and female—know how to recognize and respond to unwanted advances.
“Oh, you’re an actor? What restaurant do you work at?” Yeah, it’s cliché, but if money from acting isn’t enough, actors have to support themselves. So they get jobs at restaurants, they drive for Lyft, they tutor,
etc. The side job is often necessary but it has to be managed so it doesn’t take over. You have to know what it is, what it is not, and why you’re doing it. So let’s get clear.
