X-FILES RENEWED FOR 10 MORE EPISODES. WILL IT FILM IN VANCOUVER?
FBI agents Mulder and Scully will be heading north to Vancouver to film the new season, but there has been no official word on the production location. The series is set begin shooting this summer.

THE WRITERS GUILD OF AMERICA HAS VOTED TO AUTHORIZE A STRIKE, WITH 96 PERCENT IN FAVOR
Film and TV writers voted in greater numbers than they did before the last strike in 2007.

B.C. ELECTION CANDIDATES TO GATHER TO DEBATE ARTS AND CULTURE
All political parties represented in the B.C. general election are to convene to share and debate their platform for the arts, culture, and heritage sectors.  The panel features Spencer Chandra Herbert (NDP MLA, Vancouver-West End), Amanda Konkin (Green candidate, Vancouver-Point Grey) and a B.C. Liberal candidate, to be confirmed.

‘PSYCH’ MOVIE: ALL SIGNS POINT TO PRODUCTION BEGINNING AS EARLY AS THIS SUMMER

COWICHAN REALTOR TAKES OVER AS REGIONAL FILM COORDINATOR
The departure of Louise McMurray has left a hole to fill at Economic Development Cowichan and Laura Jennifer Leppard is the one to fill it. The new Film Coordinator, Leppard will be working part time as a liaison with visiting production companies, local businesses and municipalities in an attempt to bring new film activity to the Cowichan Valley.
