DIRECTOR JOHNNY MA EMBRACES FEAR IN HIS FILM CAREER
There’s a school of thought that says one key to realizing a goal, be it a job or a better physique, is to use the technique of visualization. Johnny Ma may not have read much, if any, visualization literature when he was 15. But there’s no denying he was a big dreamer at that age. And in dreams begin responsibilities.

SAMUEL L JACKSON HIT OUT AT BLACK BRITISH ACTORS IN HOLLYWOOD. WAS HE RIGHT?
When it comes to the roles they are assigned in Hollywood, African American actors have every right to be aggrieved. YOUR ACTING CAREER: TIPS FOR STAYING (MOSTLY) SANE WHEN YOU’RE IN THIS FOR THE LONG HAUL
Expect that there will be twists, turns, false starts, and even inevitable setbacks – and that you may not see the fruits of your labor until far later than you’d ever imagined. Embarking on this career with false expectations and an unrealistic timeline will do nothing but cause you needless frustration and grief.

3 WAYS TO IMPROVE YOUR AUDITIONS
On the one hand, every audition is a potential job and the chance to possibly making your dream of being a professional performer come true! On the other, each one is a high-stakes, three-minute-long “test” of your abilities and if you’re not cast, you may find yourself facing disappointment and questioning your talent. If that describes your audition experience, I have some good news for you: You’re doing this whole thing the wrong way.

PRESENCE: WHAT IT IS, HOW TO GET IT + WHY IT'S VITAL TO AN ACTOR'S SUCCESS
You’ve been in the acting game for a long time and you want to be a star, but more importantly, you want to be remembered. When you look at the greats in our industry, you realize they all have one thing in common: presence! We often spend so much time honing our skills for a performance that we forget about honing our presence, the thing needed to make our brand skyrocket.
