Marvel Television will film new X-Men TV spinoff Legion on location in Vancouver with former Downton Abbey star Dan Stevens.

‘SUPERGIRL’ WILL FLY OVER TO CW NETWORK
The move will be a strenuous one, due to the cast and crew having to make a possible move to Vancouver, Canada. The move is rumored to be taking place because of the tax incentives offered by Canada, which will make the cost of production less in comparison to the more expensive cost when filming in Los Angeles, California.

VICTORIA POLICE BUILD NEW RELATIONSHIPS WITH IMMIGRANTS THROUGH THEATRE
Victoria police have teamed up with actors from the around the world for a series of theatre workshops aimed at exploring dialogue between police and immigrants. The goal of the “Police and Community” workshops is to build trust and reduce discrimination.

INCREASING NUMBER OF N.S. RESIDENTS LEAVING PROVINCE FOR FILM JOBS
Members of the Nova Scotia film industry are continuing to blame the province removing the film tax credit for filmmakers moving away from the Maritimes.

SUMMER FILM+TV ACTING INTENSIVES FOR KIDS+TEENS
Summer Intensives are a chance for students to see the kind of progress they can make when they devote 100% of their energy to acting. As with all Biz Studio programs, summer students have about twice the one-on-one time with faculty as students at other schools (max of 6 students per class).
Each week also features workshops with local casting directors. Intensives run July 11th-15th and 25th-19th and August 8th-12th and 22nd-26th.
