SURREY, VANCOUVER MAYORS URGE B.C. TO PROTECT FILM, TV PRODUCTION TAX CREDITS
The mayors of British Columbia’s two largest cities are reminding the provincial government of the economic benefits of film and television production and are urging Finance Minister Mike de Jong to be cautious about his plans to pare back production-sector tax credits the minister has deemed unaffordable.

Ryan Mooney pleaded guilty in 2009 to sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl when he was working on a high school play. Despite Mooney's past, the White Rock Players' Club was seeking young volunteers. At the time of his trial, Mooney's Lawyer told the court at the time that Mooney changed his career and wouldn't be working with young people again.

WEST KELOWNA TEEN MAKES ACTING DEBUT IN SUPERHERO MOVIE DEADPOOL
Taylor Hickson was born and raised in West Kelowna. She had never heard of the Marvel comic book hero Deadpool so when her agent, who she only signed on with as a favour to her aunt, sent her to the audition, she didn’t even know what she was trying out for.
