Unleash Your Voice: replacing stage fright with authentic confidence
SCENE STUDY INTENSIVE WITH MATTHEW HARRISON
May 30 & 319am to 6pm
This workshop is renowned as an awesome experience. Hundreds and hundreds of actors have proclaimed that their career, artistic, and even life perspective has shifted at this workshop. It’s where Matthew began to discover and define The Three Pillars of Acting. It’s where acting, the art form of life is reconnected to life itself.
Actors receive scenes and scene partners in advance, rehearse and fully prepare scenes, and apply the work to focal exercises, preparatory exploration, and scene presentation.
Actorium's full Meisner technique acting program for experienced actors begins with the absolute basics of speaking and listening. Actors study where to place their attention, how to allow for natural spontaneous reactions, how to immerse themselves in a role and how to break through personal barriers to authenticity. Scene work is taught by implementing technique into text.
Summer Intensives are a chance for students to see the kind of progress they can make when they devote 100% of their energy to acting. As with all Biz Studio programs, summer students have about twice the one-on-one time with faculty as students at other schools (max of 6 students per class). Each week also features workshops with two local casting directors. July and August intensives
available.
