MICHAEL J. FOX, MYCHAEL DANNA AMONG CANADIAN NOMINEES FOR THE EMMY AWARDS
Danna was among several Canadians who got Emmy love on Thursday. Two-time Emmy winner Michael J. Fox of Edmonton is nominated for his guest role as a shrewd lawyer on CBS' legal series "The Good Wife." Two-time Emmy winner Barry Julien, a former standup comedian from Montreal, is on "The Colbert Report" writing team that got a nod in the variety series category.

KEVIN COSTNER INKS PRODUCTION DEAL WITH VANCOUVER-BASED SEA TO SKY ENTERTAINMENT
Costner's Treehouse Films has inked a first-look TV deal with Sea to Sky Entertainment, the TV-production and -distribution joint venture between Lionsgate (NYSE: LGF) and its founder Frank Giustra's Thunderbird Films.

COLUMNIST THREATENED FOR LINKING CORY MONTEITH DEATH TO INSITE
Licia Corbella wrote in the Calgary Herald that Monteith, who died from the combined effects of heroin and alcohol in a Vancouver hotel room last weekend, probably got the drug in the city himself, "or had a gofer do it for him by visiting Insite." Insite's operators say Corbella's column is misleading.

PROJECT LIMELIGHT TO RECEIVE DONATIONS IN CORY MONTEITH'S MEMORY
Monteith inspired local sisters Maureen Webb and Donalda Weaver during the conceptual stages of the organization, a free performing-arts program for kids in the Downtown Eastside and Strathcona. It also provides kids with meals, with a studio upstairs at Limelight's nonprofit East of Main Cafe.
