Hi , There's been a lot of critical movement happening in the past few days within our industry. You might have already read that the latest BC Jobs Plan introduced by the provincial government did not include one for the film, TV, or gaming industries (read the Business in Vancouver article). Soon following that announcement, a SAVE BC FILM movement started a petition
to bring awareness and support to our industry for our political leaders to take notice. If you haven't signed that petition yet, I encourage you to do so. On Sunday evening, Premiere Christy Clark posted a statement on her Facebook page mentioning how the province is still supporting our industry. Although it didn't mention anything about tax credits which is one of the key sticking points that brings (and keeps) actual productions to BC. I encourage you to continue to stay as informed as possible about the developments. The Save BC Film campaign has a Facebook Page
and a Twitter handle ( @savebcfilm). Kenji Maeda CEO, Production Heads Network Inc.
