MAPLE RIDGE HAS 2,000 FILM INDUSTRY EMPLOYEES, ONE OF B.C.’S TOP LOCATIONS
The City of Maple Ridge is reworking its film policy and fees, after council reviewed a staff report noting the city is attractive to film crews. The industry reportedly contributes to the local economy and employs approximately 2,000 local people, said the city’s film coordinator Draeven McGowan.

Red Marrow Media and Northwood Entertainment are co-producing the show, which is from Inuit writer and producer Stacey Aglok MacDonald and Inuit filmmaker Alethea Arnaquq-Baril. Adams will direct the first ep, which stars filming in Nunavut, Canada, in spring 2024. She will also be producing director for the series.
